 About  The Latin Casino:

* The Route 70 site eventually became the headquarters of  Subaru of America

*   Jackie Wilson had a heart attack on stage;  his final performance ever

*  James Brown and The Famous Flames recorded their 1967 live album  "Live at the Garden" at the Latin Casino, but passed it off as being recorded at Madison Square Garden  with dubbed crowd noise

*    Brenda Lee  broke her neck onstage during a June 12, 1962 performance

*  Tom Jones was accosted by two female fans after a show in the parking lot

*  Martin Scorsese recreated the club for his 2019 movie The Irishman 

*  The club also played host to the great comedians of the day, including Richard Pryor, The Three Stooges,  Don Rickles and  many more

*   The  owners moved their popular nightclub to Cherry Hill after nine years on Walnut Street in Philadelphia in 1960, tired of customers’ complaints about parking and the city’s blue laws

*  The club  seated as many as 2,000 people

*   At its height, the Latin Casino    employed as many as 300 people
